Tennessee Trip

I went to Tennessee a couple of months ago to visit my grandparents. They were on vacation and rented a HUGE house for all of us. The house was up on the mountain and mom was terrified thinking we were going to drive off the side of it. There was a hot tub outside which was AWESOME!! The basement was a game room which included a flat screen TV, pool table, ping-pong table and I got to sleep down there.

While in Tennessee we visited Dollywood, the Dolly Parton themed amusement park. We went on all the roller coasters. One that I hated was The Mystery Mine because my uncle and I almost lost our glasses, we had to catch them after they flew off our faces. My glasses were bent and had to readjust them. The ride I loved most was The Thunder Head. You have not ridden a roller coaster till you have ridden a "wooden" roller coaster. It was going 55 mph and it was AWESOME!!! Unfortunately it didn't go upside down, that's a wooden coaster for ya, but we did go on one that went upside down. It was called the Tennessee Tornado. That was the first one I rode that went upside down.

Everything was fun in Tennessee and I'm glad I got to go and glad to be home safely.

Cub, My Himalayan Lynx Kitten

I have a pet named Cub. He is very special and a great addition to my family. A Himalayan Lynx is a mixture between a Persian and a Siamese with a special "M" mark on his forehead. He definitely takes after the Siamese with his feisty attitude. These kittens are rare and very expensive. We didn't have to pay for him because he had been abandoned close to my dad's work, and dad brought him home. He was very sick and small for his age but it didn't take him long to gain weight and grow. We have had him 3 months and he is healthy and happy! He is GREAT!

Coast Guard Tour

Sorry I didn't add my entry yesterday I got caught up with school and other things.

The Go See It was a lot of fun. There was so much information. The Savannah Coast Guard Air Crew rescues from south of Disney in Florida to somewhere north into South Carolina. The crew is a 4 man crew and can go about 2 hours before refueling the aircraft. There are 2 ways to rescue people; 1) is in the basket and 2) is the harness that wraps under your arms and is strapped across your chest. The crew is on duty for 24 hours at a time. After learning about the Coast Guard we watched a cool music video then they showed us a video of a rescue they did off Tybee Island. Last but not least we got to get on one of the helicopters. I appreciate the Coast Guard for showing us around.

A Busy Day

I'm having a blast with my new blog. I added an image of my favorite character, Shadow from Sonic X. When I get done adding to my blog it's a full afternoon of school work. Science is my best and favorite subject. To continue my busy day, tonight our Cub Scout Pack, Pack 77, is going to Hunter Army Airfield to tour the aviation side of the Coast Guard. We are very excited because we get to go inside a helicopter - WEE!! I plan to report on that tomorrow, so stay tuned in. Hope you enjoy my blog and thank you for your comments! :)
